A teenager arrested after a shootout with the police.

The authorities have arrested a suspect who was involved in a shootout with the police on Sunday. It is alleged that on Sunday, 23 February 2025, the authorities got involved in a shootout with a local gang in Ntuzuma, KwaZulu-Natal where the authorities managed to fatally wound five suspects.  A 17 year old teenager managed to run away with a gun wound which he later attended Addington Hospital for treatment.  Upon realising that he will be apprehended, the suspect then discharged himself from the hospital. Statement by eNCA revealed that Durban Metro Police’s Drug Team and Trio Crimes Unit, along with KZN Counter Narcotics CI, followed up on information which led to the arrest. A Namibian man dies from having sexual intercourse.

It is alleged that a man from Onamhinda village in Ohangweha Region lost his life while enjoying himself with his girlfriend. The girlfriend told the authorities that her man made an unusual sound during the sexual intercourse, moments before he went silent. The incident happened Bonya location at Oshikango on Tuesday, 25 February 2025 at night, when a 27 year old lost his life. According to Namibian Sun, the police report from Oshikango Police Station, officers responded to the scene at around 22:40 and the deceased’s girlfriend stated that they were having sex when the boyfriend suddenly made an unusual sound. On the active scene the authorities found the dead man still wearing a condom with no signs of any injuries. This is not the first time such an incident happens in Namibia.  During 2023 a similar incident happened to a 43 year old man when he died at Onethindi in the Oshikoto region after he collapsed after having sex with his girlfriend. Breaking News: The owner of a logistics company shot.

The owner of Today's Destiny Logistics was shot whilst driving in his Ferrari on Bethal Road in Witbank Mpumalanga province. The man was shot at his company entrance as he tried to enter the premises. The man was shot at his company entrance as he tried to enter the premises. Dali Mpofu's son walks free after charges against him being dropped.

The charges against Dali Mpofu's son are dropped. A kidnapping and robbery case against the son of top advocate and politician Dali Mpofu has been dropped after the National Prosecuting Authority chose not to pursue it. The case was removed from the court roll after his girlfriend, who had accused him of holding her against her will and seizing her cellphone, withdrew the charges. Mpofu was arrested last Thursday and detained at Rosebank police station but was never officially charged. Follow us Mamelodi News

An alleged EFF lawyer scammed an elderly person.

Gog Thwala is accusing an alleged EFF lawyer of scamming her. A video surfaced online where an old granny accuses an alleged EFF lawyer, Zuko Madikane of scamming and defrauding the 81 year old  woman more than R100 000. Thwala breaks down as she narrates the story and says she opened the case but didn't receive any help from the law enforcement. Injured Soldiers are being evacuated back home.

 Top of the News today. It seems like finally the mission to rescue the SANDF is put into place. The wounded soldiers are travelling from Goma to South Africa using Rwanda route which may take them a maximum of two days if not one to arrive at home. It is alleged that SANDF soldiers are being evacuated from the Democratic Republic of Congo and It is said that soldiers are travelling accross Rwanda boarder until they get to South Africa. An Anonymous in DRC shares alarming condition faced by SANDF.

The son of Advocate and MK party senior member arrested for kidnapping and assault.

The son of Advocate and a senior member of MK party is arrested. Letsema Mpofu, the son of Advocate Dali Mpofu is arrested facing charges of kidnapping and assault. According to the Sunday World report suggests that a 23 year old son is accused of holding his girlfriend against her will at his Parkwood residence in Johannesburg.  Mpofu was arrested on charges of common assault and kidnapping. Injured and pregnant Soldiers left stranded after government abort the mission to bring them back.

Mission Failed in DRC. The South African government failed to send a flight to bring back South African National Defence Force(SANDF) members home. It is alleged that nearly 190 soldiers are wounded and sick, of whom five are seriously injured without any medical attention and two of them are pregnant. The injured Soldiers were told that their evacuation plan had failed, leaving them stranded and abandoned in the DRC. 1. Is it okay to send pregnant women to war? 2. Kingpin Yanga Bara Nyalara among the Six killed suspects.

Extortion kingpin Yanga 'Bara' Nyalara was killed in hail of bullets. Bara with his five crew members were traced by the Eastern Cape police, when a shootout with the police broke. The incident happened in Gcuwa, in the Eastern Cape, on Thursday afternoon. It is alleged that they were driving a car with no registration when the National Intervention Unit (NIU) tried to stop them but they decided to shoot at the police. Yanga 'Bara' Nyalara has been implicated in numerous murders, attempted murders, rape, extortion, illegal possession of firearms, robberies and ammunition.

A mother who sold her child to unknown people to remain behind bars.

Keneilwe Shabalala to remain behind bars after her bail attempt went South. The court denied Keneilwe Shabalala a bail application after she appeared before court on the 21 February 2025.  A 33 year old Keneilwe Shabalala is accused of human trafficking, conspiracy to commit offence and making a false statement to police. Shalaba approached police on 13November 2024 to report that her son had been kidnapped three days prior (10 November) She claimed three unknown men snatched the child from her while she was leaving a taxi in Boipatong in the Vaal, and fled in a vehicle Shalaba was arrested on 19 November, when police found inconsistencies in her story and confronted her. She then confessed to selling her child to men she said was unknown to her. The last time she appeared in court, she revealed that she was pregnant with twins. Shabalala, allegedly pocketed the amount of R75 000 during the time her son disappeared.

Sanctions imposed on Rwandan Officials due to DRC conflict.

The U.S. imposes sanctions on Rwandan officials amid DRC conflict and refugee crisis The U.S. Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions today on a Rwandan government minister and a senior member of an armed group, accusing them of being involved in the violence and human rights violations in eastern the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).  These sanctions target individuals and entities connected to the ongoing conflict, where Rwanda is accused of supporting the M23 rebel group, although Rwanda denies these allegations.  The U.S. has called for Rwanda to immediately withdraw its troops from DRC and stop supporting the M23, urging the country to re-engage in negotiations under the Angola-led Luanda Process to resolve the crisis.  This move comes amid rising international pressure on Rwanda, as the United Nations reports around 30,000 refugees fleeing to Burundi in recent weeks due to the rebels' advances.

Kulano Shirinda went missing on 23rd August 2023 since then he wasn't found until this date. A nurse is facing charges of Sexually assaulting two boys.

A 49-year-old male nurse, from Duduza, in the East of Gauteng was in court, facing the sexual assault charges. The man is accused of raping two teenage boys in separate incidents. According to the evidence presented by Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority’s Lumka Mahanjana it suggested that the nurse started grooming a 17-year-old patient who was in his care in August 2023. It is alleged that during their stay at the hospital, the accused started his sexual made moves towards the boy.  When the boy had to be moved from the hospital due to medical bills, the accused committed himself to continue taking care of the boy by bringing him him his medications at home. Sexual assault continued in that way under the pretence of bringing the medication. One life lost in a high speed accident.

A high-speed accident on the R40 near TUT in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, claimed one life and left another person seriously injured.  The crash happened when a BMW lost control and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with another vehicle.

No more Budget speech today.

Budget speech is postponed and opposition parties such EFF, MKP, and FFP are not happy at all. National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza announces the Budget Speech has been postponed to an unspecified date in March. It is alleged that the Budget speech was cancelled following 'dispute over VAT' between ANC and DA, which DA didn't support the 2% VAT increase. This is the first time in the history of the South African democratic parliament seeing the postponement. However According to the statement by Zanzou club management denies the allegations of sexual abuse and torture of a group of guys who failed to pay the bills instead they blame former security personnel for those malicious acts against alleged cellphone thieves at their club. A 16 year old was found buried by a blanket in the bushes.

 Another Day, another shock and sadness 😡💔💔  It is alleged that Boingotlo Prudy Makaota, 16 year old, was found dead, her body was buried in the bush while remain wrapped in a blanket. A Grade 10 learner from Maatla Secondary School had injuries to her head, legs, and thighs. It is suspected that she may have been killed by someone she used to smoke with, which is a male figure.  This is due to one witness saying they saw the guy pushing a suspicious wheelbarrow but they didn't know he was pushing Makaota in that wheelbarrow and going to bury her in the bush. LGBTQ activist shot dead at Gqeberha.

Imam Muhsin Hendricks shot and killed in Gqeberha Imam Muhsin Hendricks, recognized as the world's first openly gay.  Imam, was fatally shot on February 15, 2025, while attending a wedding in Gqeberha, South Africa.  According to reports, Hendricks was seated in the back of a car when a Toyota Hilux blocked their path, and masked assailants opened fire. Security footage captured the suspects fleeing the scene.  Authorities are actively investigating the incident, with concerns that the attack may have been a targeted hate crime.  Hendricks, a prominent LGBTQ+ activist and religious leader, faced opposition throughout his career for promoting an inclusive interpretation of Islam.  His untimely death has sparked outrage and calls for a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice. Stained Cash found in Employee's position.

Employees arrested for possession of stained cash linked to ATM bombings. Four suspects, including employees of a company contracted to service bombed ATMs, have been arrested after being found with stained cash.  The arrests took place at various locations on Thursday, 13 February 2025. Police launched an investigation after a major bank reported suspicious deposits of stained money into ATMs.  The probe revealed that some of the suspects worked for a company responsible for cleaning and restoring ATMs targeted in bombings. A multi-agency task force comprising SAPS crime intelligence, Gauteng highway patrol unit, provincial investigation unit, JMPD K9, bank investigators, and Vusela Covert raided the company premises.  There, officers arrested one suspect and discovered washed banknotes.
