The charges against Dali Mpofu's son are dropped.

A kidnapping and robbery case against the son of top advocate and politician Dali Mpofu has been dropped after the National Prosecuting Authority chose not to pursue it.

The case was removed from the court roll after his girlfriend, who had accused him of holding her against her will and seizing her cellphone, withdrew the charges.

Mpofu was arrested last Thursday and detained at Rosebank police station but was never officially charged.
