Budget speech is postponed and opposition parties such EFF, MKP, and FFP are not happy at all.
National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza announces the Budget Speech has been postponed to an unspecified date in March.
It is alleged that the Budget speech was cancelled following 'dispute over VAT' between ANC and DA, which DA didn't support the 2% VAT increase.
This is the first time in the history of the South African democratic parliament seeing the postponement.
Currently the date is not yet set for the budget speech but it is scheduled for March 2025.
