According to reports, the scammer, a resident of Tembisa, had traveled to Marlboro with his accomplices, intent on preying on vulnerable victims. Tragic Mortuary Vehicle Crash Claims Two Lives in Springs, Gauteng. A devastating accident occurred on Clydesdale Road, Springs, in Gauteng, on March 20, 2025, at approximately 16h20, resulting in the loss of two lives. According to eyewitnesses and authorities, the mortuary vehicle was transporting a deceased person's body when a family member requested the driver to pass by the location where their loved one had passed away. This request was allegedly made to allow the family to collect the deceased's spirit, in accordance with African cultural traditions. Tragically, the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to accommodate the family's request. The mortuary vehicle crashed into a tree and burst into flames, claiming the lives of both the driver and the family member. A shootout claim five lives, leaving others injured.

A fatal shooting occurred earlier today at Doornfontein Taxi rank in Johannesburg, claiming the lives of five people and injuring others.  Reports indicate that a group of armed men entered the taxi rank, Enkomeni and fired shots everywhere. Few individuals, including a university student who was waiting for a bus are among the injured and were rushed to the hospital.  Emergency services and law enforcement are on the scene and the authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspects.  The attack is suspected to be linked to taxi violence.  Follow us. Suspect arrested in connection with local business robberies.

A suspect has been taken into custody by authorities in connection with business robberies.  Suspect arrested for armed robberies following operation by Gauteng Traffic Wardens, Tshenolo PI, Gauteng Traffic Special Law Enforcement Unit, SAPS Crime Intelligence and Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) in Shoshanguve, Pretoria on 17 March 2025.  The operation was conducted based on intelligence regarding individuals implicated in terrorising local businesses.  The operation targeted two locations subsequent to officers receiving information regarding the suspect’s illicit activities. A suspect stole three corpses in Kuruman.

The SAPS in Kuruman, are looking for suspects who broke in a funeral parlour and stole three corpse. An unknown two suspects broke into the funeral parlour, assaulted and tied the security guard around 1:30am on 17 March 2025 in Kuruman, Northern Cape. The suspects then stole three corpses, one of a baby girl and two of adult men. According to Sowetan Live, the Northern Cape police spokesperson Lt-Col Sergio Kock said a case of business robbery has been opened in Kuruman. No arrest have been made yet. Ekangala Taxi Association demand 30% from Putco Bus.

Times are hard for the community of Ekangala as the dispute between Taxi operator and Bus operator rises. On Monday, 11 March 2025, Morning, taxi association took a decisive action against the bus giant which resulted in immediate suspension of Putco bus services around Ekangala. The Taxi association at Ekangala, Bronkhorstspruit, Sakhile Ekangala Taxi Association(SETA) demand the bus operator to hand 30% subcontracting deal to the association. In the letter written to Putco the association, accuses the Putco bus drivers for allegedly hooting at commuters at a local taxi rank(Ekangala Four ways) and pick up some passengers which doesn't sit well with the taxi operator.
