Mamelodi News | Bronkhorstspruit, Tshwane The City of Tshwane has reached another milestone in the upgrade of the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant (WTP), with three newly procured high-lift pumps arriving on site for installation. According to Action SA Councillor Cobus Coetzee Mabhena, the project forms part of the City's 2026/2027 Budget, which made provision for upgrading the ageing water treatment infrastructure. The installation of the new pumps is currently underway. Once commissioned, they will pump treated water from the plant to reservoirs before it is distributed to households across Bronkhorstspruit and surrounding communities. The upgrade is expected to improve the reliability of water supply and strengthen the City's ability to deliver clean drinking water to residents.
