Teenage Boy Sentenced to 12 Years for Multiple Counts of Rape in Niewoudtville. The Calvinia Regional Court has handed down a significant prison sentence to a 17-year-old boy for multiple counts of rape in Niewoudtville. According to court proceedings, the accused, who was 14 years old at the time of the first incident, would approach the boys while they were playing soccer alone.  On Friday, March 28, 2025, the young offender received a sentence of 12 years' imprisonment for each of the five counts of rape, with the sentences to run concurrently.
