Principal Jeco Pieterse cleared on the list of the suspects.

Principal Jaco Pieterse has been officially cleared of rape allegations involving a 7-year-old girl, Cwecwe, at Bergview College in Matatiele, where he serves as principal. DNA test results confirmed his innocence, returning negative and conclusively proving he was not involved in the incident.

The case had garnered significant public attention, sparking widespread outrage and calls for justice for the victim. AfriForum's Private Prosecution Unit defended Pieterse, stating he was not a suspect and the SAPS had never regarded him as one. With forensic evidence clearing his name, Pieterse can now restore his personal and professional reputation.

However, the question remains: if Pieterse didn't commit the crime, who did? The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have identified other suspects. The school's security guard and transport driver are potential suspects, but no conclusive evidence has linked them to the crime.

Some have raised concerns about potential falsification of the DNA test results. However, there is currently no evidence to support this claim. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to ensure justice is served for Cwecwe and her family.

The case has highlighted concerns about child safety and the need for accountability in institutions entrusted with childcare. The #JusticeForCwecwe movement has gained momentum, symbolizing the demand for justice and protection for all survivors of child abuse and rape.
