The legal team representing Lekompo artist Shebeshxt has proposed that he be released on R100,000 bail during his ongoing bail application before the Limpopo High Court.
The musician remains in custody after the court postponed the matter to next week, when it is expected to deliver its ruling on whether he should be granted bail.
Both the State and the defence presented arguments during the bail proceedings, with the defence submitting that bail of R100,000 would be appropriate if the court decides to release the artist pending trial.
The court, however, reserved judgment and indicated that its decision will be handed down next week.
Until then, Shebeshxt will remain behind bars as he awaits the outcome of his bail application.
