Shepherd Bushiri, the self-proclaimed prophet, and his wife Mary, who are appealing a Malawian court's ruling allowing their extradition, have made it unequivocally clear that they do not plan to return to South Africa to address the outstanding legal charges against them.
According to Mmamoloko Kubayi, the South African Minister of Justice, the country remains steadfast in its commitment to the case, despite the couple's efforts to stall the process through appeals.
The outcome of their appeal will ultimately determine the couple's fate, and if it is unsuccessful, the South African government and Interpol will work together to facilitate their return to South Africa.
