Royal AM Players Return to Training Following New Ownership Takeover.
In a significant development, Royal AM players have resumed training after a change in ownership. Durban-based businessman, Chockalingam Roy Moodley, has successfully acquired the team, marking a new era for the club.
Moodley, reportedly the owner of Royal Security company, has taken the reins of Royal AM, paving the way for the team to honor their outstanding league fixtures. The players returned to training today, eager to get back into action.
The sale of the team was finalized while the previous owner, Shauwn Mkhize, is currently on vacation in Dubai. Mkhize, also known as Mamkhize, had been at the helm of Royal AM, but the team's future was uncertain until the few minutes takeover by Moodley.
However things have taken a puzzling turn as SARS now declared his deal "nullified" due to concerns over his financial and legal history. Moodly reportedly failed to pay the required amount to meet the deadline set by SARS curator.
The Royal Am was auctioned earlier this month as part of efforts to recover the R40 million owed by club owner.
According to auction rules, if the first bidder fails to honour payment, the auctioneer can re auction or choose the second highest bidder as the winner depending on the auction terms.
Could this mean the Kwandebele business men, Mazol man and Joe Sibanyoni could have a chance to take over the team?
The change in ownership will bring a sense of stability and renewed hope for the team. With the players back in training, Royal AM will be set to tackle their remaining league fixtures with renewed energy and determination.
As the team embarks on this new chapter, fans and supporters will be watching closely to see how the team performs under the new ownership.
