Botswana Government Working so hard to Spare Molapisi's Life.

A 30 year old woman, Lesedi Molapisi, from Botswana, is still alive despite some reports that suggested her execution in Bangladesh.

Botswana's High Commissioner to India, Gilbert Mangole, gave a clarity, speaking on Radio Botswana. Mangole confirmed that Molapisi's appeal is still pending and the execution date is not yet set to take place.

In the year 2022, January, 23, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Molapisi was arrested after authorities found her with over 3kg of a heroin.

Bangladeshi court sentenced her to death in May 2024 for drug trafficking charges.

Mangole said that, President Duma Boko is committed and approaching the issue at a political and diplomatic level to ensure that Bangladesh forgives Molapisi.
