The Protection Fee gang shot in Kwaggafontein.

The police in Kwandebele, Kwaggafontein in Mpumalanga are regaining the trust of the community after dealing with an extortionists.








The SAPS in Mpumalanga shot suspects accused of extortion in Kwaggafontein.





The extortion is seen a rise to most of the businesses in South Africa and it is becoming a norm as mostly they label it "Protection fee". 




In most Townships they do it in a way that seems to be legal as they offer you a security protection especially for paying monthly amount.



The SAPS in Mpumalanga executed an operation in response to reports of serious criminal activities, including extortion, attempted murder, and related offences.



The authorities followed valuable leads provided by the Intelligence of the SAPS which led them to Kwagga A in Kwaggafontein, a place where a group of suspects converged earlier today.



During the operation, the extortionists upon spotting the police, the suspects opened fire on the police. The police In response returned the shots.



The police then shot and  killed one suspect while injuring the two others.



It is alleged that the gang was extorting money from the local people and the businesses in Kwaggafontein.



The police in Mpumalanga Province shot and killed a person allegedly extorting a protection fee from people in Kwaggafontein, while two others were injured in the hospital after being shot by the police. 




The injured man remain in hospital under police guard receiving medical attention while one of the injured is in a critical condition.There are no reports about any  SAPS members sustaining any injuries during the incident.
