Earlier today afternoon a man identified as a taxi boss was gunned down.
It is alleged that the taxi boss had gone to relax with his three friends when the tragedy met him.
The unknown gun man fired shots at them, leaving the taxi boss dead and his friends with injuries.
The incident happened this afternoon in Balfour Park, near Alexandra on Wednesday.
The police are investigating the motive for the shooting but they have strong reason to believe that the killing is associated with Taxi violence.
