13 FOREIGN NATIONALS ARRESTED AFTER ATTACKING LIMPOPO POLICE OFFICERS WITH STONES WHILE ON DUTY IN MANKWENG
About 13 foreign nationals aged between 20 and 42 male suspects have been arrested for cases of attempted murder and assault GBH on 30 July 2024.
This is after after the brazen attack on police officers while on duty on 16 July 2024 in Mankweng.
Limpopo Police Spokesperson Colonel Colonel Ledwaba says that the officers were busy with investigation to trace suspect dealing in drugs when they got ambushed by a group of suspects who threw stones and assaulted them.
Spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says that during the incident, some officers sustained injuries.
Ledwaba says that they were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
All the suspects appeared before Mankweng Magistrates court with charges of attempted murder and assault GBH
