Suspects in Journalist Aserie Ndlovu and Partner’s Kidnapping Case Face Court as Police Hunt for MoreSamuel Mogongwe (41) and Michael Lucky Skhosana (40) are set to appear in the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court on Monday, May 12, 2025, facing kidnapping charges linked to the disappearance of Tshwane journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli. 



The couple was reportedly abducted from their home on February 18, 2025, in a crime allegedly driven by drug addicts searching for money, according to crime expert Calvin Rafadi from the University of Johannesburg, who assisted in the investigation.


A breakthrough came when one of five arrested suspects confessed to the couple’s murder, leading police to skeletal remains in bushes near Rust De Winter, Limpopo, on May 8, 2025. DNA tests are pending to confirm the remains belong to Ndlovu and Mdhluli, with potential murder charges to follow. 

Mogongwe, identified as the alleged mastermind and a driver for the Mdhluli family, was among those arrested, alongside stolen items from the couple’s home, including parts of Ndlovu’s VW Citi Golf.Police are now seeking two additional suspects, Thato David Madisha (24) and Sello “Skhalo” Uoane, believed to have key information or involvement. Uoane is a parolee with a prior rape conviction. 


The public is urged not to approach the suspects, described as dangerous, but to contact Lt-Col Maboko at 072 030 2794 with any information. The murder weapon remains missing as investigations continue.
