Family of Five Finally Laid to Rest After Eight-Month Wait for DNA Results.
The remains of Tshokolo Mofokeng (35), his wife Anna Hlatswayo (32), and their children Tumelo (10), Moleboheng (8), and Bokomoso (1) were finally identified after an eight-month wait for DNA results.
The family was brutally taken from their loved ones in August 2024 when their transport caught fire under mysterious circumstances in Harrismith, leaving their bodies burnt beyond recognition. The long wait for DNA results prolonged the family's suffering, but they finally found closure with the burial.
The funeral service was attended by family, friends, and villagers who gathered to pay their last respects. The emotional ceremony was a testament to the impact the family had on their community. Five coffins carrying the remains of the loved ones were tearfully welcomed by the mourners, who came to bid farewell to the family.
The burial brought an end to the family's long and painful journey, but their memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
