An Attorney was arrested for theft and money laundering after estate scandal.
Kobie Niewenhuis, Attorney aged 55, has been arrested for theft and money laundering.
It is alleged that Master of the High Court appointed Niewenhuis serving as an executor of the late CK Flores' estate.
Instead of distributing the funds to the right beneficiaries, she fraudulently misappropriated R234,600 during the period of March 2011 to December 2014.
The case was brought before the Bellville Magistrates Court on September 12, 2024.
The proceedings have been adjourned until September 19, 2024, for further discussions regarding bail and legal representation.
