According to a leaked case report, Car hijacking and heist kingpin Prince ‘Mongol’ Mahlangu (43) from Soshanguve is no more. The incident happened at the corner of Kerknus and Bond street Clydesdale Sunnyside on 22/9/4 at 00:40. Mahlangu was shot multiple times in the chest and upper body. He was driving a Golf 8 at the exit of Trade Marc’s parking area in Kerknus street and corner Bond street in Clydesdale.

The suspect confronted the victim and after speaking, shot him several times and left in a white VW polo registration no unknown. The victim’s wife was in the vehicle but uninjured. The victim passed away on his way to Medforum hospital.

It is alleged that Mongol was part of a syndicate that hijacked 4×4 bakkies. Reports suggest that in February 2022 Prince was allegedly part of a group of criminals who killed a G4S security guard at -Mnandi Spar Tulip road Centurion. It is alleged that the security officer was loading money into the truck when he was shot with an R5 rifle.

During the Spar robbery, two suspects were caught on CCTV camera wearing distinctive clothes. The suspects made off with the cash box but were unable to access the money, due to technology installed on G4S devices aimed at rendering the money unusable.
